The Flurry

It's a gray morning with another 3" of snow forecast for today.  Yesterday's 20" have turned Woodstock into a winter wonderland.  And how appropriate because this weekend is The Flurry, Woodstock's snow sculpture festival.

Wednesday, before the storm, this is what the Green held--stompers packing snow into forms….

And, by the end of the day, this is what the stompers had created….

Eight huge blocks of snow for sculptors to use in creating their works of art!  Work went on all day yesterday and into the night and today the snow sculptors will be back at it after breakfast….
